The Monday score review
House Vault teams often ask for a dashboard. We give them a calendar invite instead. The Monday score review is forty minutes, before the campaign standup, with a printed agenda that does not change. If the number cannot survive this meeting, it will not survive a quarter.
Who sits
One product owner, one analyst, one lifecycle lead. Optional: a commercial partner once a month. No more than five people. If the room grows, the review becomes a status theatre and the score goes back to being wallpaper.
The agenda we actually use
- Definition, ninety seconds. Someone reads the current one-paragraph definition of engagement aloud. If anyone flinches, that is the work. Do not skip this because “we all know.”
- Band movement, ten minutes. How many users entered and left each scoreband last week? Name one user story per band if the counts look strange. No vanity charts.
- Residual flag, eight minutes. Users whose signal families disagree. These are the people an automated email will mishandle.
- Weight log, five minutes. Did anyone change a weight? If yes, date, owner, reason. If someone changed it in a notebook and not in the log, treat it as an incident.
- Calendar effects, five minutes. Holidays, paydays, launches, outages. In Thailand this line is not optional.
- Decision, remaining time. One operating choice: hold, retune a band, or stop an automation. If there is no decision, the meeting failed even if the slides were pretty.
What we ban
We ban “insights round-robin.” We ban adding a new metric mid-meeting. We ban celebrating a lift that arrived with a blast. Those conversations belong elsewhere.
Nalinee’s wallet squad in Cohort 11 adopted this agenda almost unchanged. They still overrun the warehouse item some weeks; that is a staffing issue, not a ritual issue. The point of Monday is to make the score a managed object before marketing spends against it.
